New High Speed Quad

Brian Head Resort Announces High Speed Detachable Quad for 50th Anniversary

From its early beginnings in the winter of 1964-1965 as a small single chairlift ski resort, Brian Head Resort has blossomed over the past 50 years into one of the finest family-friendly ski resorts in the country. Brian Head Resort is excited to celebrate this golden anniversary with its guests during the 2014-2015 winter season with a much anticipated improvement. After listening to customer feed back, and after years of preparation, Brian Head Resort will be installing a high speed detachable quad chairlift.

The new lift will replace the existing Giant Steps lift (Chair #2), and will reduce the ride time to the top of Giant Steps Mountain from 12 minutes to just 5 minutes – providing customers with more time on the slopes and less time in the chair. Not only will the ride time decrease, guests will also experience less stoppage time due to the easy loading and unloading capabilities of the new lift. Construction and installation will take place during the summer of 2014, and the new lift will be complete and ready for the 2014-2015 winter season.

Since 1964, Brian Head Resort has strived to provide visitors with an unparalleled skiing and snowboarding experience. 50 years later, the mission is still the same. Celebrate the upcoming 50th anniversary on Saturday and Sunday April 19-20, 2014, when guests will enjoy lift tickets for only $19.64 to commemorate Brian Head Resort’s opening year.
