Private Lessons

Availability is limited. Advanced reservations and payment are required. These lesson options fill up quickly, therefore, we highly recommend booking your lesson at least 72 hours in advance

When to Meet at Lesson Location15 Minutes Prior to Lesson Start Time
With valid lift ticket and ski/snowboard equipment.
If renting equipment, please plan on an extra 30 minutes to 1 hour to get fitted and to get to the meeting place on time.

What to Bring

Lift Ticket
A valid lift ticket is required to take a lesson. Lift tickets are not included in the lesson price. Purchase lift tickets here

Skis or Snowboard
Fully Functional & properly fitting gear is necessary. Reserve rental equipment here.

Helmets
Required for ages 12 & under, and highly recommended for all.

Appropriate Clothing/Gear
May include- warm layers, snow jacket, snow pants, neck gaiter, non-fleece mittens/gloves, goggles, and hand warmers. Applying sunscreen and lip balm is highly recommended.

Sunblock & Lip Balm
It helps to apply these on kids prior to drop-off.

Water and snacks
Hydration and food will help maintain your energy levels during your lesson session.

The fine print

  • Reservations made less than 24 hours notice are subject to a 15% increase.
  • Pricing is subject to change during resort holiday periods.

Meeting/Arrival:

  • Pick-up for Winter Sports School is located outside, on the right side of Navajo Lodge when facing the main entrance.
  • All tickets can be picked up at the Navajo ticket counter.
  • Please prepare to arrive at your lesson 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled time for all lesson options. 
  • All lessons begin promptly at their designated times. Please allow 30 to 60 minutes (especially during weekends and peak periods) to arrange for equipment rentals and arrive no later than 15 minutes before lesson time with your equipment to start your lesson at the Winter Sports School Check-In or your reservation MAY BE FORFEITED.
  • We reserve the right to charge a fee for excessively late pick-up for a participant in our programs.
  • Allow adequate time to get to the resort ahead of your scheduled lesson time, especially on snowy days. 
  • Check the Snow Report for updated road conditions before heading to the resort to plan accordingly by visiting UDOT Traffic.

Rescheduling/Cancellations

Within 48 hours of the ticket or lesson purchase, you are eligible for a 100% refund paid to the payment device used to purchase your lift or activity ticket, or bike rental. Tickets and rentals are not refundable or transferable on the date valid. After you make your purchase, up to 11:59 pm MST on the day before your arrival date, you may defer your ticket or rental and receive a credit in the US dollar amount of your original purchase.

Credit can be used for lift tickets and rentals. Credit will be provided electronically, as made available in an online account.

Credit amounts will be based on the ticket purchaser’s actual purchase price, less insurance, if applicable. If you use your credit on a ticket that is more expensive, you must pay the price difference between the credit and the new ticket. Credit can NOT be used for lodging, food, beverage, or resort merchandise. Credit expires April 14th, 2024. 

The Resort does not guarantee parking, road conditions, weather conditions, snow conditions, open terrain, number of lift operating or facilities/services available. Inclement weather routinely affects daily operations and can cause delays and closures at any time. Refunds and credits will not be issued for tickets, rentals, lessons or tubing due to inclement weather or unforeseen interruptions to daily operations.
